US Bombs Iran’s Fordo Site (Social media)
World News: West Asia is once again simmering on the edge of conflict. A deadly airstrike by the United States on Iranian soil has reignited fears of a regional war. Within just 48 hours, a series of intense developments have drawn Washington and Tehran into direct confrontation, pushing the entire region closer to a potential armed conflict.
Late Saturday night, the US military launched a powerful attack on Iran’s most heavily fortified nuclear site—Fordo. Using the GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator, one of the most powerful non-nuclear bombs in existence, the US targeted the mountain above the Fordo facility. These bombs are capable of penetrating nearly 60 meters deep into the ground, designed specifically to damage underground bunkers. The intent was clear: to cripple Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.
US President Donald Trump stirred global diplomatic circles with a fiery social media post just a day after the strike: “Regime change may no longer be politically correct, but if the Iranian government cannot make Iran great again, then why not change? MIGA—Make Iran Great Again!”
This comment is seen not merely as political rhetoric but as a calculated strategic message. It raises pressing questions: Is the United States once again planning to influence regime change in the Middle East? Trump’s words have sent shockwaves through international diplomatic communities.
In a strongly worded statement from Istanbul, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi declared, “Diplomacy is off the table until we respond. The US only understands the language of force. We will not stay silent anymore.”
The message from Tehran is crystal clear—a counterattack is imminent, and retaliation is now seen as non-negotiable.
Meanwhile, the Iran-Israel conflict has escalated alongside. Iranian missile strikes damaged multiple buildings in Tel Aviv, while six Iranian soldiers were reportedly killed in explosions in Iran’s western provinces. Both sides seem to be bracing for broader military engagement.
Following the strikes, the US Department of Homeland Security issued a nationwide high-alert advisory. Security has been ramped up around religious sites, Jewish institutions, and diplomatic premises in major cities such as New York, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles. Citizens have been urged to remain vigilant.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed that there has been no radiation leakage from Fordo, Natanz, or Isfahan nuclear sites. However, satellite images reveal deep craters in the mountains above Fordo, indicating the potential extent of underground damage remains uncertain.
The crisis is no longer limited to rhetorical threats. With diplomacy effectively halted and military warnings escalating, the region teeters on the edge. Trump's bold call for “regime change” and Iran’s open threat of retaliation suggest that the next spark could ignite a wider, more dangerous conflict in West Asia.
